Prospect Park Bandshell

Prospect Park Bandshell hosts both ticketed and free concerts in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. BRIC Arts|Media|Bklyn has partnered with Prospect Park Alliance to host fun, free events in Brooklyn. BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival provides New York’s longest-running free outdoor performing arts festival, which is held each summer at Prospect Park Bandshell ever since the 1980s. While many events are free, donations are welcomed. The Bandshell has two audience areas– a 2,000 person seated area and a 5,000 person lawn. With a distinct slope from all sides towards the center, audience members sitting on their blankets in the back lawn still have a nice view of the stage. A mix of concerts are held here from indie-rock to adult contemporary, world music, and fairly known acts such as Modest Mouse and the Roots. These weekly events don’t just include concerts! Spoken word, dance, and film (some with live scores) are also celebrated while presenting a diverse set of artists. Beer and wine can be purchased within the venue. With accessibility to everyone and a great way to save money, find a seat in the front or bring a blanket or some beach chairs and relax while you enjoy live performances brought to you by BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!
