Since its start back in May of 2013, The Greenwich Series has been a place where over 50 speakers have taken the stage for fun and informal presentations. This past Monday, May 18., the series featured Mary Geneva author of ‘Nicknames: Tales From The Shallow End Of The Manhattan Dating Pool.’

“I told Burak to pack his shit and get out and he did!,” Mary joked with the crowd about the end of her marriage. “900 dollars later we were divorced by a lawyer we met on Queens Boulevard. I got custody of the cat, sold my littler silver Saturn and I moved into Manhattan.”

Her awesome personality surely kept the crowd of the night laughing! The event took place at The Bitter End, at 147 Bleecker Street in the Greenwich Village area. Mary even read excerpts from her book to the audience. Stay tuned for our exclusive interview with Mary coming next week!
