New York City’s Bryant Park is one of the best spots in the summer for film buffs to take in a free outdoor movie screening on the lush grassy lawn. The 23rd HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival kicks off on June 22nd and will run Mondays through late August.
The movies begin 30 minutes after sunset with the lawn opening at 5pm for people to come stake their claim. If you want to watch from the lawn, bring a blanket and arrive early. There are also 4,000 chairs in the park you can watch from. You can bring your own picnic or grab something from one of the on-site food vendors.
