Fete de la Musique: Vianney / Chassol / Joakim

Once a year, Fête de la Musique showcases some of France’s most vital voices. This year is no different. The singer-songwriter, Vianney, will be performing his affective tunes, which he does often using just his voice, a guitar, and a loop pedal. He’s joined by the idiosyncratic Chassol, a pianist, arranger, and musical director who’s known for his trailblazing “ultrascores,” and collaborative work with Phoenix, Sébastien Tellier, and Frank Ocean. Rounding out the celebration is renaissance man Joakim, a DJ and classically trained pianist who is also a producer, visual artist and sound designer. His performance will be a hybrid adaption of two his works: Semi Conductor, created during his residency at Studio Venezia at the 2017 Venice Art Biennale, and his last album, Samurai.
