BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival: Tame Impala with Dungen
On the heels of their third studio album Currents, Aussie psych-rockers Tame Impala will take the Bandshell stage for two nights.
The band’s driving force Kevin Parker has been described as a “relentless tinkerer” (NPR). Over their last three albums, Parker has continued to transform their sound from guitar-driven rock to soul-inspired dance tracks. This much-discussed evolution is always accompanied with adoration, however. Kevin Parker is “a psychedelic monk with talent to burn” (Rolling Stone) and a “supernaturally talented obsessive” (Pitchfork).
