For the final Benefit Concert of the 2016 BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, This Is Our Music and LPR present Herbie Hancock, who will bring his impressive discography to life at the Bandshell.

With a career spanning more than 50 years and 14 Grammy Awards, pianist Herbie Hancock has influenced electronic and acoustic jazz, as well as R&B, with his genre-defying musical voice. In his autobiography, jazz great Miles Davis described Hancock as “the step after Bud Powell and Thelonious Monk, and I haven’t heard anybody yet who has come after him.”

Grammy Award-winning electronic jazz quartet Robert Glasper Experiment, known for their Black Radio and Black Radio 2 albums, will open the night.
