This year’s BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival Opening Night Concert will feature socially-conscious hip hop performer and actor Common. As a Grammy-award winning artist, Common has become a prominent voice in hip-hop’s new millennium renaissance. Common also delivered a memorable performance as co-star in 2014 film Selma, for which he also composed the Academy Award winning song “Glory.”

The BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival is one of New York City’s longest running, free, outdoor performing arts festivals and is held every summer at the Prospect Park Bandshell. All performances rain or shine. Doors open one hour prior to performance unless otherwise noted.
