Event Recap: Juicy J at Irving Plaza

[mashshare]

Doors opened at 7 p.m. and after two opening acts  between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Juicy J fans patiently waited a whole hour for the Memphis rapper to hit the stage. It was certainly worth the wait!

His hype entrance transitioned into him performing his verse of Stoners Night Pt. 2  featuring Wiz Khalifa. If the venue wasn’t nearly completely fogged with smoke before his set, it surely was cloudy with smoke throughout his entire performance. In the background the audience saw the letters ‘THC’ lit up in fluorescent lights, along with a chair that he sat in briefly from time to time throughout the show.

@juicyj was too turnt last night. He made it rain on the crowd throwing about 2K

Each song and/or verse that he performed smoothly ran into the next. He literally had the crowd bouncing when he rapped his song Low, then Everybody and All I Need followed. Everyone went nuts when he did Bandz a Make Her Dance and he even did his verses from I Don’t Mind and Show Out. One thing that he did the whole night that other rappers don’t? He threw tons of cash into the audience! That’s right, he had a helper on stage whose job was to pass him stacks of singles and he constantly threw them out to his fans!

Juicy J Performs Classic Three 6 Mafia Hits

Things got real when Juicy J decided to take everyone back with a few classic Three 6 Mafia songs. The audience screamed when they heard the Poppin’ My Collar beat and after doing his verse and the hook from that song he immediately got into Weak Azz Bitch and Tear Da Club Up. The whole venue sang Slob on My Knob with him but nothing topped his performance of one of Three 3 Mafia’s most known hits Stay Fly.

Juicy J kept the show going for nearly two hours, even with a surgical boot on his left foot.  Nonetheless, that didn’t stop him from continuing his fun! He even asked the crowd where the after party was. It seems like his injured ankle had no control over stopping his night.
