ORSVP is an online entertainment news blog focused on music, movies and television. Our mission is to provide fans with the best possible live experiences, entertainment discovery, and digital connectivity with our content and the broader NYC community. ORSVP reports and promotes live event coverage, artist interviews, breaking entertainment news, and more. Our goal is to discover and distribute music and entertainment, and help fellow New Yorkers keep up-to-date with news, information and events, in addition to offering year-round entertainment to ORSVP fans around the globe through other digital assets.

Position Overview

We’re expanding our editorial team and we’re looking for several freelance writers to join us!

Responsibilities

Research and curate content with an eye to being ahead of the competition, including a close monitoring of news sources and key artist/festival/influencer social media accounts.

Provide on-ground coverage at key live events throughout the year.

Interview artists for website publication.

Qualifications

Traditional writing and editing skills, along with an understanding for how to optimize content for the Web.

Basic familiarity with search engine optimization, social media, and photo editing programs.

Passion for NYC, music and film!
