Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Caracciolo, better known as Alessia Cara, took the world by storm with her debut single, Here, released in April 2015. Under EP Entertainment and Def Jam Records, Here became a hit with little to no promotion. This song is perfectly relatable for anyone who doesn’t really enjoy parties, based on her own experiences at parties herself. Here was listed on Billboard’s Top 20 Songs You Need for Your Summer Playlist in 2015 and reached the top 5 in the US. Cara released her first EP in 2015 titled Four Pink Walls and followed with her debut album Know-It-All three months later. She performed this single on her first television debut in the US on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. In April of  2016, Cara toured with Coldplay for their A Head Full of Dreams tour. Her second single, Wild Things, was released on February 2nd, 2016 and has been on the radio ever since. Wild Things continues Cara’s message in her first single, acknowledging and celebrating being someone different, someone who isn’t part of the “cool” crowd. She describes Wild Things as finding liberty and showing no shame, finding passions and love in the darkest parts of us. Cara believes we should not be scared of being unique, and must embrace it. Cara is a newcomer with fresh, memorable songs that we must keep an eye on because her rise to fame is only going up.
