Wellmont Theater

The Wellmont Theater currently serves as a concert and event venue located in Montclair, New Jersey. This theater originally opened its doors as a live music theater in 1922 but then switched to a motion picture theater in 1929. After closing in 2006, the theater underwent a $3 million dollar renovation under new owners and opened in 2008 as a concert venue booking exciting acts through The Bowery Presents. However, in 2013, Wellmont decided to partner with Live Nation to book concerts and bring world class talent to Montclair, New Jersey. With Live Nation, the world’s biggest promoter, on their side, Wellmont has brought artists such as Young the Giant, Ghost, Third Eye Blind, MGMT, Lindsey Stirling, the Jonas Brothers, and more. This venue could even be booked for large events, graduations, award ceremonies, TV shows, fashion shows, and benefits.  Being the largest venue in the area with a 2,600 capacity, Wellmont Theater proves to be an important source of live music and entertainment in North Jersey.
