Whether you started playing this game out of nostalgia, curiosity, or to try something new, you must wonder where the best spots are to catch Pokémon in New York City. Brooklyn Bridge Park

Here while you may find many Magikarps which are not that rare, you can find many other water Pokémon like Seadra, Horsea, Tentacool, Dratini, and Goldeen. More than water Pokémon reside here though! Walk around and you may even find Ekans, Exeggcute, or Rhyhorn!

There was even a bit of a stampede when a rare Vaporeon appeared recently. Play it smart, hang around the lawns and you’ll find grass and bug type Pokémon. If you walk along the bodies of water, you’ll find water type Pokémon. Central Park has it all!

Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City, Queens proves to be another great waterfront for Pokémon hunting. Catch all types of Pokémon here with another beautiful view of the skyline. Dragonite, Bulbasaur, Electabuzz, Aerodactyl, and Pikachu are only a few of the Pokémon that have been found here.

 

Astoria Park

Astoria Park, although smaller than the other parks listed above, houses some Pokémon we haven’t seen in the other parks! Come here to find Abra, Gyarados, Lickitung, and Seaking. Squirtle, Magikarp, and Dratini can also be found here. If luck is in your favor, you may even find a Pikachu in Astoria.
