Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park combines the best of both worlds. Spend the day here with friends & family walking along the waterfront and taking in the spectacular view of the skyline. But don’t forget to check your phone now and then because in this park, rare Pokémon appear every few steps you take! Bulbasaur, Gastly, Poliwag, Clefairy, and Shellder are just a handful of Pokémon that you can catch here.
Prospect Park
Brooklyn, NY
This 585 acre park in Brooklyn is another go-to spot to catch Pokémon. Still searching for Pikachu? Check here. You may find Onix, Jigglypuff, Gastly, Vulpix, Psyduck, Seadra, or Scyther on the way.
Williamsburg Bridge
New York, NY / Brooklyn, NY
Whether you’re jogging, walking, or taking the train across the Williamsburg Bridge, keep your eye out for Pokémon accompanying you on the journey. So far Meowth and Cubone have been spotted here so who knows what else will appear!
Battery Park City
New York, NY
Battery Park City covers Manhattan from Stuyvesant High School down along the Hudson River to the historic Battery Park on the southwestern tip of the island. Another waterfront proves to be a great location for catching Pokémon that are hard to find. Here while you may find many Magikarps which are not that rare, you can find many other water Pokémon like Seadra, Horsea, Tentacool, Dratini, and Goldeen. More than water Pokémon reside here though! Walk around and you may even find Ekans, Exeggcute, or Rhyhorn!
Nintendo World Store
Rockefeller Center, 10 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY
It seems fitting that Nintendo World would have an abundance of exciting Pokémon since Nintendo started it all back in 1996 releasing Pokémon playing cards, shows, and games. Along with Pokestops at every corner, you can find Voltorb, Pidgeotto, Magnemite, Ponyta, Magmar, and Slowpoke nearby.
Times Square
New York, NY
One of the most crowded places in New York City is bound to have a bunch of Pokémon along with numerous Pokestops and a huge gym to battle those new catches. Ponyta, Jigglypuff, and Geodude are just a few of the uncommon Pokémon you can find among all the tourists.
Union Square Park

Sit on the steps at the front of Union Square Park or walk around the entire perimeter and you’re guaranteed to find at least one unique Pokémon. Oddish, Arbok, Beedrill, Hitmonchan, and Snorlax are some of the Pokémon that have been spotted here!
Central Park

Of course the largest park in Manhattan contains lots and lots of Pokémon. Since the park covers more than 843 acres, you have a lot of ground to cover. Snorlax, Squirtle, Lapras, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Wartortle, and the beloved Pikachu have all been spotted here. There was even a bit of a stampede when a rare Vaporeon appeared recently. Play it smart, hang around the lawns and you’ll find grass and bug type Pokémon. If you walk along the bodies of water, you’ll find water type Pokémon. Central Park has it all!
Gantry Plaza State Park
Long Island City, NY
Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City, Queens proves to be another great waterfront for Pokémon hunting. Catch all types of Pokémon here with another beautiful view of the skyline. Dragonite, Bulbasaur, Electabuzz, Aerodactyl, and Pikachu are only a few of the Pokémon that have been found here.
Astoria Park
Astoria, NY
Astoria Park, although smaller than the other parks listed above, houses some Pokémon we haven’t seen in the other parks! Come here to find Abra, Gyarados, Lickitung, and Seaking. Squirtle, Magikarp, and Dratini can also be found here. If luck is in your favor, you may even find a Pikachu in Astoria.
