New Billboard in Times Square to Break Size Records

A tremendous eight-story digital billboard will launch in Times Square Tuesday night, and Google is going to be the first firm this month to run an ad campaign. The billboard, which will be about the size of a football field, will cost advertisers $2.5 million a month. The technology behemoth as well as both Clear Channel Outdoor refused to comment regarding the total cost, but the New York Times indicated they could have negotiated a reduced fee. There is no denying the billboard is going to be overwhelmingly big and it is already causing amazement in passersby who’ve seen it. The display appears designed to astonish. The billboard will cross a whole block to 46th Street. At 8 stories tall, its larger than the greatest television sets out there. Distinctively, billboard ads are a part of the charisma in Times Square where tourists are saturated with glossy pictures lights and high resolution videos. Over 300,000 pedestrians enter Times Square on a daily basis.
